## Trojan

<details>

<summary>What is a terminal?</summary>

Our terminal is a non-custodial trading and data platform; think CEX + DEX + screener. However, it is much more than just a mashup of previously existing systems. **Trojan's Terminal is a unified base of operations,** a place where users retain custody of their funds, data is live and accurate, execution is nearly instant and accurately priced, charting is simple and powerful, and where every market, no matter how new, is accessible.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Is Trojan's Terminal safe? What is non-custodial and how does it ensure trust?</summary>

Yes, Trojan Trading is committed to security. As a non-custodial platform, Trojan's Terminal does not store or control users' funds, private keys, or personal data. This ensures that **only you have full ownership and access to your assets at all times**.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I start?</summary>

All you need is a Solana wallet to log in, and some SOL to make trades. For more details, see [trojan-signup-login](https://docs.trojan.com/trojan-basics/trojan-signup-login "mention")

{% hint style="info" %}
You can also log in with Passkey, and Trojan will create a wallet for you. See the link above for instructions.
{% endhint %}

</details>

<details>

<summary>Is Trojan free?</summary>

Trojan Trading does not charge users to access the platform. However, as with all trading platforms, there are fees associated with making individual trades. Trojan charges 1% per successful trade.

You’ll also earn **cashback in SOL** for every completed trade, effectively decreasing your trading fees. As you move up in rank, your cashback percentage increases. The more you trade, the more you earn!

For more information on referrals, see the [**Referral System**](https://docs.trojan.com/trojan-arena/referral-system) page.

<summary>What Launchpads are supported by Trojan?</summary>

The current list of Trojan's supported Launchpads is continually updated and best found in the Terminal itself. For the current list, visit the **Trenches** page in the Terminal. There you can use a filter to view all supported Launchpads.

<summary>What DEXs are tradable on Trojan?</summary>

Trojan is constantly evolving, and adding support for new DEXs is a key part of staying cutting-edge. For the latest list, visit the **Explorer** page in the Terminal, where you can use the built-in DEX filter to view all available platforms.

<summary>Where can I see a record of my transactions / examine a transaction?</summary>

Everything you do is on the blockchain, from transfers to buying meme coins. Visit [Solscan.io](https://solscan.io/) and enter your wallet address in the search field. You’ll see all your wallet’s onchain activity. Solscan offers excellent help pages for beginners, and we recommend all users learn to navigate the platform. For a helpful guide on how to start with SolScan, see this [blog](https://trojanonsolana.com/blog/what-is-solscan).&#x20;

## Wallets

<details>

<summary>Can I trade using Phantom, or another Solana wallet directly?</summary>

Yes, you can make basic swaps using your Login wallet. But for **more advanced features**, like Limit or DCA orders, you will need to create a Trojan wallet or import a wallet.

If you want to use your connected wallet with all features you'll need to import it following these steps:

1. Disable the login wallet if previously enabled.
2. Import the wallet using the private key.
3. Enable the wallet from the wallets menu.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I import a wallet?</summary>

You can import an external Solana wallet using its private key, which you can find in your wallet’s settings (check your wallet’s documentation for help). See [#adding-wallets](https://docs.trojan.com/trading-on-trojan/wallet-management#adding-wallets "mention").

</details>

<details>

<summary>How can I withdraw my funds?</summary>

Go to the Wallets page in Terminal and click **Withdraw**. Choose what you want to withdraw—either SOL or a token—along with the amount and the source wallet. Enter the wallet address to send the funds to, verify the details, then click **Withdraw** to complete the process. Make sure you have enough SOL in your source wallet for the gas fee. &#x20;

See [wallet-management](https://docs.trojan.com/trading-on-trojan/wallet-management "mention")

</details>

<details>

<summary>I didn’t realize I had to send SOL - I sent Solana-based USDT (or USDC) instead. What can I do?</summary>

USDT / USDC are simply tokens and can be swapped like any other. You will, however, need SOL in your wallet for gas to make the swap.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I find a wallet to Copy Trade?</summary>

Good wallets for copy trading are highly valued and rarely shared publicly. So, how do you find them? Methods and tools vary, but it boils down to researching top traders or token holders, [analyzing](https://docs.trojan.com/terminal-overview/wallet-analyzer) their wallets, and observing their activity. Avoid wallets using custom programs, as they can’t be copied, and steer clear of snipers, which aren’t suitable for copying. There’s no substitute for time and effort.

</details>

## Settings

<details>

<summary>What is Slippage and what should I set it to?</summary>

* Prices change rapidly. There may be some difference between the price you submit for a buy and the actual price of the token by the time it executes, even if it’s only a second or two. Slippage is a setting to tell the trading mechanism how much of a difference you are willing to accept, if needed. Slippage and liquidity pools are what make trading on a DEX possible without an order book.
* No singular slippage setting covers all situations. Trading tokens that are more volatile will require a higher number. Copy Trading will require a higher number, especially if it’s a heavily copied wallet. With MEV off, people generally use lower slippage. Start low (10-15%) and adjust. If you are experiencing failures due to slippage, consider raising it.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is gas? What is Priority fee / Bribe? What should I set it to? Where does it go?</summary>

Gas on Solana is a small fee in SOL paid to process your trades or actions, going to validators (and Jito if using MEV protection). "Gas" is often used as a catch-all term which includes both **Priority Fee** and **Bribe**.\
\
**Priority Fee** is the amount paid to Solana Validators to expedite trade execution. Increasing the **Priority Fee** typically speeds up processing, though returns on this may diminish at higher amounts. Needs vary based on trade size, token volatility, and network congestion.&#x20;

**Bribe** typically goes to Jito for MEV protection.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
When purchasing a token, you’ll also pay a one-time token account fee of about 0.002 SOL to the network to set up space for holding tokens in your wallet. This fee is refundable after you sell.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is MEV?</summary>

MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) refers to profit gained from reordering transactions in a block. On Solana, MEV bots often cause sandwich attacks by spotting public trades and submitting faster ones to front- or back-run yours. MEV protection hides your tx, bundles it privately, and routes to trusted validators. It may require a small tip for execution.
